El Diablo

Self Immolation
On June 11, 1963, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk named Thich Quang Duc set himself on fire in an act of self immolation to protest the oppression of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese's Roman Catholic government. I have never been one of much faith, but this act of peaceful protest to me is what Christ on the Cross is to Christians.

Inspiration coming from Gajin Fujita
An incredibly talented artist came and spoke at the University of Utah today. A quiet and humble Gajin Fujita has combined the traditional art styles from Ukiyo-e and modern graffiti in amazing fashion. With art in galleries across the globe, Gajin's work is certainly something everyone should check out.

Beginning
Up until now I have never been one to share my drawings, writing....and other stuff. I guess this will be a good time to start. Despite the craziness in this world it can be a truly beautiful place. I hope to share with you my interpretations of the world through some doodles of mine
